Quinta do Tapadinho was founded in 1984 with the production of wines in the magnificent Vinho Verde region. Located in the parish of Cavez, municipality of Cabeceiras de Basto, home to wonderful Vinho Verde wines in the Basto sub-region, it is in the village of Rabiçais that Quinta do Tapadinho is established.

Located on the right bank of the Tâmega River, Rabiçais is described as a small paradise. A quiet village, with a magnificent view of the Tâmega River and superb sun exposure, combined with a very particular micro-climate, constitute a terroir quite conducive to cultivation, especially Vinho Verde.

Vinho Verde has always been an integral part of our lives. Under our unique micro-climate, combined with the selection of the best grape varieties and the family knowledge of decades of work on these soils, we produce Vinho Verde Tinto, Branco, and Espadeiro, with surprising body and aroma.

In 2019, our team began a series of steps to share with the world everything that surrounds us in our wonderful village, from wines to accommodation. We adapted our offer and renovated some of our spaces, but always preserving our identity, with the aim that 2020 would be the year we would bring this objective to the public.
